it's not everyday you'll see an RV like this, much less at c2 design but this one is kind of cool and it has a neat story.........it's a 1973 roxor.....made by the roxor company out of Ohio many years ago.  this truck has a serial number of 00002....not sure how many others were made as finding info on it has been almost impossible.  with some research we were able to track down it's 2nd owner....who purchased it from its original owner in the san jose area of california...it was used to tow a boat to and from shasta lake in cali....the locals got to know it pretty well supposedly...kind of hard not to notice it.  it was sold at some point, sat around in an equipment yard somewhere in california...was auctioned off and bought by a guy in southern cali around 2012 who nearly destroyed it.  Actually a guy by the name of Bret michaels is the guy who nearly destroyed it on his show 'rock my rv'.  fortunately it didn't get too rocked.  in any event, the roxor was purchased in long beach california by a client and brought back to c2 under its own power.....it wasn't an easy trip and it wasn't a pretty trip but the old roxor made it....all 3000 miles(had a couple of detours along the way....mainly roswell new mexico...kind of a perfect place for this thing) .

under it's fully welded aluminum skin(it has a custom aluminum body built over a 2x2 square tube aluminum skeleton) sits a 1973 w350 dodge power wagon dually 4x4 chassis complete with a 360 V8, 727 trans, Np205 transfer case and dana 70 axles.  it was originally intended to be an adventure off road/4x4 rv so it's fully self contained with its own water tank,, water heater, furnace, generator.  It's a rugged truck with a great drivetrain and excellent dimensions.....a perfect platform for upgrading and updating.

C2 is in the process of restoring this beast....outfitting it with modern features and materials.  no longer will it be the disaster it was when it came from southern california's reality show nightmare,  it will now be powered by a dodge 6bt cummins diesel, slowed down by disc brakes up front, outfitted with a more modern suspension....inside will be completely redone but not compromising the original layout.  LED lighting, navigation, solar power......just some of the hi-tech stuff in store for this once lo-tech truck.....
